Leaders Lunch reconnects business community

John Kingwell talking

Evolve and the local business community celebrated a return to in-person events with a Leaders Lunch at the Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth on Friday, October 1.

On arrival, eighty guests enjoyed socialising and reconnecting over drinks in a reception room with a view of the sea on a clear autumn day. This was followed by a three-course meal in the ballroom.

Guest speaker was Rear Admiral John Kingwell CBE—strategic advisor to the British Ministry of Defence. He spoke rivetingly on long-term global trends, including possible outcomes of the current situation with China and the social and business implications of advanced artificial intelligence. The focus was on what business owners can do to prepare for all eventualities in a post-Covid world.

“It was wonderful having people back together in a room again,” Evolve founder Warren Munson said. “It was clear from the bright energy that everyone had really missed interacting with one another and were thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to do this once more. My hope from the day is that old relationships were rekindled and new ones forged.”

Evolve’s next event is the BCP Business Festival in November, which includes 14 free events. Click here for more information.
