1. It has very little to do with networking
While you will most likely make good business connections at a peer group, this isn’t the biggest value you’re going to get from attending one. Peer groups are about relating to other business owners by sharing experiences and learning from each other.
By listening to everyone’s journeys—the good and the bad—you gain a much wider perspective on things and will also have the satisfaction of being able to share your own knowledge with others, whether it’s plain business advice or helping someone to solve a problem.
2. It’s not just about business
Peer groups encourage openness while also promising confidentiality. This means you can discuss anything. Whether you’re struggling with personal issues or stuck in your self-development, a peer group provides support, knowledge and accountability.
