Bringing together entrepreneurs and business leaders from the borough of Basingstoke and Deane for an exciting line up of events providing inspiration, motivation and connections.

The funding forms part of the council’s efforts to bring businesses together and support them following the pandemic

Hear the views of local business experts on the hybrid working model and the pros and cons of making it work within your business.

The panel will discuss the benefits and challenges of remote and co-working, how this can affect employee engagement, wellbeing, training and what technology you should consider for hybrid working to be effective in your business.

Hear from experts in the following fields

+ Steve Jones who will cover Employee Engagement, Steve is a well -known business coach, public speaker, trainer, facilitator and consultant. Steve is an expert at creating ideas and strategies that build businesses, drive revenue and improve business position and performance.

+ Maxine Hart, who will delve into Recruitment, Maxine has 20 years’ direct experience in recruitment and she loves it! Her enthusiasm and charisma allow her to inspire others in their careers and have a positive impact on their work life. Her most important achievement at Wote Street People? Putting together a perfectly-matched team who are excellent at what they do.
Her protagonist personality makes her a real people person and she is passionate about being a force for positive change. Maxine is a trustee the M3 Job Club, Mentor at the Basingstoke Consortium and Regional Director for TEAM. She finds a lot of joy in supporting people to grow, learn and develop.

+ Hear from George Scott Welsh, discuss how the Workspace has changed over the last few years. George is currently the CEO of IncuHive. IncuHive is a flexible office space and co-working operator with 10 sites in Hampshire, Wiltshire and Surrey. IncuHive actively get involved in the businesses resident in their sites and help them achieve their goals. It’s a wonderfully rewarding environment and George is most happy when helping develop business models for early stage start-ups.

+ Mike Sharples will discuss the Technology challenges presented by hybrid working and explore some of the tools that organisations can use to optimise the employee experience and productivity, no matter where they are physically located.

As the Founder and Chief Experience Officer at Brand Experiences, Mike is focused on delivering better outcomes for colleagues and customers and the technology that underpins an improved employee and customer experience. Having started his career in technology at the tender age of 17, Mike has seen many paradigm shifts in both technologies and working practices and believes that an organisation’s ability to adapt and evolve is the key to success.

+ David Hedges, Employment Tax Partner at Azets, will be discussing tax benefits and implications of the hybrid model.

+ Jacqueline Kendal, Legal Director at Phillips Law, will be talking through how they have managed and developed their well-being support for their staff members, during the difficult few years we have faced and what they are doing today to ensure this continues.
