Panellists:
Steve Coburn
Steve is the Managing Director of the Login Lounge in Camberley. This is a unique venue that provides a mix of being a Melbourne-style Coffee House, a Shoreditch-style Coworking Centre, an upmarket Wine Bar and an exciting Live Entertainment venue. From Business Networking, Live Sport, talented local Music Artists, Bands, Comedians and Burlesque Cabaret, the Login Lounge caters for everyone.
Steve is also the Managing Director and Founder of the multi-award winning Managed Service Provider, projectfive, who look after the IT needs of over 250 businesses in the local area.
And, in addition to running these two successful businesses, Steve has time to hold a number of positions in Not-for-Profit organisations, such as Collectively Camberley, the British Chambers of Commerce and the Surrey Cyber Security Cluster (a collaboration with Royal Holloway University of London, University of Surrey, Surrey County Council and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sports).
Bill Palmer
Surrey born and bred. Didn’t go to university, instead joining a manufacturing company straight from college as a management trainee. Bill collected an HNC in Business Studies through part-time study.
A firm believer in “Business Karma” – being open to new ideas, new opportunities and being helpful to others, and in “Ikigai” – balancing business with giving back.
30 years of big corporate life – a period Bill now terms “my apprenticeship” – ended in 2017 when stepping away to form Consentricare – a company that today delivers enterprise-strength engagement, wellbeing , health and safety and compliance solutions as a mobile service.
Among other things, Bill is the Chair of the Guildford Digital Health Hub and director of a management consultancy specialising in meeting the systems challenges in large corporates.
Gary Robinson
Gary Robinson is a Partner at Stewart & Co Accountants based in Camberley. Having joined the firm as an ACA trainee in 2004, Gary qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007 and became a Partner in 2010. Stewart & Co currently have 6 Partners and 32 members of staff. As well as being a Chartered Accountant with a portfolio of clients, Gary is also a business owner running the firm alongside the other Partners. Outside of work, Gary is kept busy by his two young children and likes to travel and explore with his family as often as possible, both overseas and more locally to show his kids the amazing things available closer to home.
Rachel Bell
Rachel is Founder of the Secret Stage School, the performance school ‘with a difference’. Rachel truly believes that everyone has the ability to be the best that they can be and this has been the key to the schools success. Established 9 years ago, it now has its own base right in the heart of Camberley in The Square. It comprises a large dance studio downstairs, and upstairs a drama studio and soundproofed singing studio as well as a large roof space.
The Secret Stage School is one of Surrey’s leading independent dance and performance schools incorporating a huge variety of dance and stage skills. Alongside The Secret, Rachel provides free workshops for children in The Square, at local schools and for charity so that they can experience the joy of performing with entertainment, dance and singing.
Rachel is over the moon to join the panel as an independent business in the community that she loves.
